Director Strategic Purchasing (m/f/d)


The incumbent will report to the CEO (located at the headquarter near Munich/ Germany). He/She will be member of the extended senior Leadership Team. Yearly purchasing volume will be approx. 180 Mio. €.
The main mission  of Strategic Purchasing is: It is our aim to secure the constant growth of our company by:

- strategically selecting reliable and innovative suppliers and components with a competitive cost-technology ratio.
- managing a flexible, high quality supply base to ensure our products launched to the market will satisfy our customers requirements.

The priorities for the role include:
  • Managing the strategic purchasing team and supply chain setup.
  • Responsible for locating and maintaining the best sources of supply for the components, materials and services.
  • Consider all aspects of the relationship with suppliers, including cost, quality, value, and the ability to respond quickly to changing supply requirements.
  • Select suppliers that can act as long-term partners and help meeting growth objectives.
  • Optimization of procurement and improvement of a global supply chain.
  • Work on cost reductions, effiency improvements to ensure competiveness.
  • Efficient management of the world wide distributed purchasing team.


  • University degree in Electronic Engineering, Industrial Engineering, Business Administration / Sourcing or similar.
  • 5+ years B2B power electronics/semiconductor experience as group- or department-leader purchasing.
  • Proven results in procurement and efficiency improvement successes.
  • Knowledge in at least one ERP system, preferably SAP.
  • Proficient in procurement analysis tools.
  • Fluent in German and English.
  • Excellent negotiation skills and a positive mindset.
